Fling It Girl is Digg in Chick's Clothing

What if Digg’s portal turns pink and the Dugg items become all about fashion, products, shopping, designer, boutiques and all pink stuff? You get to Fling it Girl!

If Kevin Rose (founder of Digg) were to have a sister or a wife, I’m sure they would come up with the idea similar to Fling it Girl. If Digg is your social bookmarking site for technology and other related stuff (except Fashion and Beauty), then Fling it Girl is the other way around. It’s a social bookmarking site for anything and every chick-related.

Fling it Girl is a place to pursue the latest trends in products, designers, stores, and boutiques. This is a user-generated site, meaning you are the editors (Fling Stars), you submit and vote on the content you find Fling Worthy. You in essence get to declare what is “in.”

From the moment you enter the Fling It Girl site, you’d immediately sense the similiraties with Digg’s format. From the list of relavant links to the number of “Flings” that a particular item has received from users. Members get to discuss the listed items, share the links to friends and even bury a Fling. All this in a main portal which resembles Digg but in a “Pink Environment”.

Fling it Girl covers the following topics such as fashion, beauty, eco-friendly beauty and health products, lifestyle, technology-related, home, health and fitness, extreme stuff, stuff related to men.

Fling it Girl is a social shopping site for the chicks and men who are interested to learn about chick stuff. It’s in beta right now, but you can practically used all its features and what it can offer. For a simple social bookmarking site with a niche market, I don’t see any reason why Fling It Girl wouldn’t make it big soon. We just hope they would remember that we reviewed their site before they went big time!
