<description>Well put! I'm currently researching social media and the impact it will have on business in the future for a white paper to released later this year. We will see online relations evolve into face-to-face interactions, and of course this does happen. The fact is, in the corporate environment, no matter what type your network of people will carry you farther than a simple resume of past success. It has always been who you know and social media reinforces it.

Onto the older population. With no disrespect, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks," most of the time. As people get older, they get set in their daily lifestyle. With our generation, this will take a turn. The best part about the Internet and social media is portability. Rather, we are in constant contact anywhere anytime.
